Surely we will not be mistaken if we say that users who are wondering how to group pictures in Word use the version of Microsoft Office in their work no less than 2007. Why?   6. Press and hold the Ctrl or Shift keys to select both shapes.
  7. The "Working with drawings" tab appears in the quick access panel. Go to it, and in the "Arrange" group, click the "Group" item.

How to manage grouped objects

A distinctive feature of the "Vord" is that it allows you to change the properties of one of the grouped objects without performing the ungroup operation. If you move, rotate, align objects, you can only together, then you can apply shadow effects, change the shape, you can work with the outline and with each object grouped separately. To do this, click on one of the grouped objects with two consecutive clicks. Around it will appear gray contours of selection. Change the properties of this shape at your discretion, while others in the group will remain unchanged.
