How to distinguish a cat from a cat at a very early age

There are situations when you decide to pick up the animal from the street. In the case of a dog, determining the sex of the animal is not particularly problematic: the genitalia is visible to the naked eye. But how to distinguish a cat from a cat, after all, "male dignity" in a cat is not so conspicuous as a dog? Especially because there are castrated cats. Determine the sex of an adult animal will help the presence or absence of a scrotum with testicles. With smooth-haired cats, there is no particular problem: between the hind legs they can see a bag. Long-haired and castrated cats will have to be picked up to probe the scrotum, which is not always visible due to fluffy wool or small sizes.

There are several more indirect signs that help determine who is in front of you - a cat or a cat. In adult cats, the muzzle is very graceful, in cats the head is somewhat coarse. However, there are breeds (British blue, for example), in whose representatives muzzles are large regardless of gender. In some cases, you can rely on color to determine the sex of cats. There are never tortoiseshell cats and absolutely red cats. If you have a tricolor kitten in front of you , then this is most likely a kitty. If it's fiery-red, then it's a cat.

But quite often we have to determine the sex of the kitten at a very early age. For example, when your cat has set, and you want to know how many seals and cats she gave birth. Or you want to buy a cat or a cat in the bird market. Most often the seller will tell you the sex of the animal, but who knows: people are more willing to take cats, so sellers often give out to girls for boys to sell the kitten more quickly. When choosing a nickname for an animal, we are also guided by its gender, and it will be extremely unpleasant to learn in a couple of months that Vaska is a girl, and Ksenia is a boy. Therefore, we need to know how to distinguish a cat from a cat.

Unfortunately, the sex of small kittens is more difficult to determine than in adults. Kittens are born blind, deaf, their body has not yet fully formed at the time of birth. Eggs in a small male develop within the abdominal cavity and only at the age of 2.5-3 months fall into the scrotum. In the same women in the first weeks of life in the groin area there is a slight swelling, very similar to the scrotum, which confuses the determination of sex. One of the external signs of how to distinguish a cat from a cat is the shape of the urinary tract. In cats it is round, and in the cat - in the form of oblong cracks.

Veterinarians have a joke about how to distinguish a cat from a cat: a cat is an exclamation point, and a cat is a colon. What does it mean? If you put a small kitten on the palm of your belly down and raise the tail, then the point of the anus with the vertical slit of the genitals forms an exclamation mark. In the cat, the genital organ looks like a dot, so together with the anus it forms a colon. The distance from the anus to the genitals also plays a role: in the kitty this distance is insignificant, only a couple of millimeters, and the anus of the penis separates approximately one centimeter from the penis. The shape of the genital organ and its distance from the anus are the main indicators of how to distinguish a cat from a cat.

The habits and behavior of small kittens of both sexes are exactly the same. The difference in their mobility, appetite, courage or cowardice depends on the state of their health, and also on whether the alpha is an animal, beta or gamma. Sexual differences in behavior appear in cats somewhere at the age of six months, when they enter into puberty. During estrus, cats can become aggressive or excessively affectionate, they roll around the floor and arch their back. Cats also begin to "mark the territory": turning to the wall behind, tearing up their tail and releasing a jet with a sharp smell.
