Game Fallout 3. Asylum in the world "Fallout": review, passage

The Fallout series of computer games is one of the most popular and best known when it comes to post-apocalyptic role-playing projects. It was the first game of the series that became the progenitor of this genre, so all the parts that went further were even more impressive and collected even more fans. To date, the third part is considered the best part, although relatively recently a continuation has appeared - the fourth part of the project, which everyone should pay attention to. There is a high probability that it will become the new standard of the post-apocalyptic RPG. But in this article the theme will appear in the Fallout 3 game Vault. If you have not played any parts of this project, you probably do not know what the Fallout Vault is, and what it's intended for. But this is a very important part of the story, so first you should familiarize yourself with the basic information. Then you will already learn about all those present in the game Fallout 3 Vaults separately.

What is the essence of Vaults?

In the game Fallout 3 Vaults play a very important role, as in all previous, as well as subsequent projects of the series. What it is? The fact is that the plot of the game develops in the post-apocalyptic world, when the end of the world has already come and survived only those people who took shelter in these same Vaults, built by the government of the United States of America in the twenty-first century as a precautionary measure in the event of an atomic war. In order to save the entire population of the United States of those times in the event of a disaster, it would take more than four hundred thousand Vaults, but the order went only for the construction of just over 120 pieces. All of them were experimental, and the people who were there were volunteers, and they were investigated to see how people behave in isolation. Naturally, after a real catastrophe happened, many shelters were abandoned, some of them were blocked by the passage - in short, each Vault had its own story, and the games of the series gradually tell the fate of all these designs. As for this article, from here you will learn what are in the game Fallout 3 Vaults, what is in them, and also what was their common destiny.

Refuge 74

Note that in this article Vaults will not be listed in the order of their appearance in the game, since it can differ depending on the features of the passage, and in ascending order of their sequence number. It is believed that the numbers were given to the Vaults as they arise from west to east, and in most cases this corresponds to the truth - with the exception of a few cases. So, the first Asylum that will be indicated in this material is number 74. In the game "Fallout 3" you will not get an opportunity to visit there and will not even see it with your own eyes. The matter is that the game events will be farther in the east, and this refuge will be discussed only in the manual for the use of GECK-a special terraforming system, which Volt-Tech Corporation used to create these structures. As you can see, meeting with this Vault in the game "Fallout 3" will be extremely short - and the same goes for the next two shelters, which will be discussed.

Asylum 76

You could also hear that in the Fallout 3 game, the abandoned Vault is number 76. However, this is not entirely true, because in fact it is simply unfinished. Specifically, this design was considered as a backup - the discovery was planned twenty years after other shelters - the goal was the re-colonization of the planet. Thus, Vaults were to be opened gradually, in small doses supplying the planet with new people. If you go to the Citadel, then in the computer "Volt-Tech" you can find an expanded description of this Vault, if you are interested in it. However, there you will not find the most important data, which until now remain unconfirmed. The fact is that the construction of this Vault, most likely, was interrupted due to the fact that the aliens kidnapped the general director for security "Volt-Tek", who was supposed to monitor the progress of the project. Naturally, this can be a normal hearing, but the fact remains that you can not find Vault 76, no matter how carefully you look.

Refuge 77

In the third part of the game there is another Vault, located closer to the West, which you can not find in the game. This is number 77 - Vault, which was created specifically to test the isolation of not a large number of people, but only one person. All he got from entertainment was a bag of rag dolls. For a year he was alone in this Vault, after which he went mad and got out. He wandered for a while in the wasteland, until he was found there slavers. They brought him to the city of Paradise Falls, where he cracked down on several of them, and managed to escape. How do you know about the existence of this Vault? It's simple: in this city during your stay you can find his overall with the number of shelter from which he got out. Well, this is the last structure with which you can not enter into direct contact during the passage. The rest will meet you in the game.

Asylum 87

So, the first building you can join in Fallout 3 is Vault 87. This is not the usual Vault, because there were not just people, but experimental "specimens" there. They were turned into mutants even at the very beginning of the war, so that they became incredible fighting units. However, the experiment went in the wrong direction - during the mutation the brain of the experimental subjects was damaged, because of which they either died or became uncontrollable and aggressive. They killed the scientists who were responsible for the experiment, and then began stealing people from the Wasteland to thereby continue their kind - that is, to carry out a mutation over the stolen in the Vault. However, in the end, there ended the substance that allows mutations, and the mutants wandered around the wasteland in search of new reserves. The protagonist will find this place in the course of the plot quest, but there will immediately arise a question that torments many gamers in Fallout 3: "How to get to Vault 87?". After all, the main entrance to it is struck by radiation, and even blocked. You'll have to go around, but inside you'll even find a half-mutant, which you can use as a companion in the subsequent passage.

Refuge 92

As for Vault 92, all the most talented musicians who had the perfect hearing were closed here. It was done in order to influence them with high-frequency noise, which was supposed to turn them into super fighters. The experiment was successful, while the most sensitive to noise musicians did not go crazy and did not get out of control. They killed all the other inhabitants of the Vault and fled from it, dispersing throughout the Wasteland. Among them were the ancestors of Agatha, which you meet in the course of your travels. You can take her quest, during which you will need to enter Vault 92 to take the violin of Agatha's parents. In addition, you will find many other interesting things there.

Refuge 101

Vault 101 is familiar to absolutely all gamers who played in the third part of the project. After all, it is the home of the protagonist. The purpose of this Vault was exclusively to observe a group of people in isolation - not only for their behavior, but also for how they will be reproduced and developed, how genes and their mutations affect the fact that all people of many generations are together and Interbreed only among themselves. Initially it was assumed that this Vault would never open, unlike the others - people had to live in it and reproduce themselves. However, at some point the opening of the room did take place, which led to huge problems and a large number of deaths. As a result, the inhabitants swore that the Vault doors would never be opened again. As for the character of the game, here he has to fulfill his first quests in the entire passage before he gets out and begins to study the post-apocalyptic world.

Asylum 106

This shelter was filled with leading scientists who, according to the government, had to work on medicines for all survivors of the United States. However, most people were sure that there will be biological weapons development. But only ten days after the closure of the Asylum on the ventilation shafts, psychotropic gas was sent there, due to which gradually all the inhabitants went insane. When the protagonist gets into this Vault, it becomes clear that the psychotropic gas is still working - you will start hallucinating, you will even see your father. But to visit it is still worth it, because there you will find a lot of useful and interesting.

Refuge 108

This Vault is one of the most dangerous that will meet the protagonist on his way. It housed a cloning lab, which during the time the building was closed, spawned a huge number of aggressive and unfriendly clones. So, when you get inside, act very carefully.

Shelter 112

In Fallout 3, Vault 112 is one of the most interesting, as it is an experiment with virtual reality. All the inhabitants there are in an artificial world, run by a mad professor. Initially, he was normal, but eventually lost his reason and began to enjoy that he can kill people in virtual reality, erase their memory, resurrect them and again kill them. This cover is part of the storyline of Fallout 3. Shelter 112 is under Casey Smith's garage, so if you do not know about its location, you can not even notice it. When you are inside, you are in virtual reality, where you either have to fulfill all the tasks of the professor in order to break out into reality, or arrange a real revolution to free the survivors from the captivity of virtuality. This is what is remembered in the game Fallout 3 Vault 112 - the abandoned house, under which it is located, appeared on many posters of the game.

Museum Vault

It is just an exhibit in the Technological Museum - it demonstrates what the average cover looks like in all the games of the series, including Fallout 3. As with all the previously described, the shelter 112 was built according to a single project, which is presented in the Museum.

Sheath of Death Claws

Well, the last location that should be considered in this article is the Deathclaw Vault. Fallout 3 is a game where you will find the most incredible locations, but this cover is not average. It's more like a cave where dangerous mutants live, but if you study it, you'll leave with decent rewards - if, of course, you can get out alive.
