Fish marinka: where it is found and how it looks?

"I'm going to catch a marinka, or I'm tired of sitting at home with my wife," fishermen of Central and Central Asia sometimes joke about, going fishing. A joke is a joke, but not quite so. Fish marinka, the photo of which is presented below, is one of the most popular in these places. How to fish with a beautiful female name, which usually peck marinka and how to prepare them correctly - these and other questions will be answered by this article.

Who is where he lives?

Who is she - fish marinka? What kind of fish, how it looks and where it lives? A smart and dexterous marinka, although it refers to carp, but for her willful demeanor and behavioral features was nicknamed "sister of a trout".

She lives in Central and Central Asia and Kazakhstan. In these places it is also often called "Karabalik", which translates as black fish. Very rarely, it can be found in Ukraine and in the European part of Russia. The marinka lives practically in any conditions, but is most often found in mountain rivers and lakes. Also, it can be found in springs among the cliffs, plain streams, on ruts and in cold streams. In most of Asia, this fish fills all existing reservoirs, is considered weed and is not particularly loved by professional fishermen.

Features marinka

This brisk fish prefers clean, running water, so most often it can be seen on small rapids and waterfalls, it overcomes them with ease. Local residents have found an original way to use the marinka for their own purposes. This omnivorous fish is used to clean the wells - it quickly and with pleasure destroys all kinds of crustaceans, leeches and a variety of vegetation. Also, fish are used everywhere for food.

This is where its main feature lies. The fact is that the fish is a poisonous poison. More precisely, not all fish are poisonous, but only gills, caviar and a black film lining the inner surface of the belly. To avoid poisoning, you must carefully remove these parts before cooking. Despite the fact that the fish is poisonous (photo below), its meat is delicious, tender and fat enough, so learning how to cook this fish is really worthwhile.

Appearance and structure

Fish marinka has an elongated, elongated body, covered with small dense scales, which near the tail fin becomes somewhat larger. The back of the fish is gray or gray-green, and towards the lower part the shade gradually darkens at the sides, turning into black. This is a classic option, however, according to the habitats, the color of the marinka can vary. Quite often, for example, you can find a gentle yellow or orange fish with a head of a greenish hue. Over the upper lip of the marinka there are short, but quite noticeable mustaches - their two pairs, larger and smaller.

Most often come across individuals about 25-30 cm in size, but there are also much larger specimens. The largest can weigh several kilograms.

Kinds

In total, there are 4 varieties of marinka fish , each of which differs not only in its habitat, but also in food preferences.

  1. Marinka is ordinary. The size of this fish can reach 70-80 cm, and the weight varies from 300 grams to several kilograms. Ordinary marinka is very omnivorous - it can eat both algae and fry of its own kind. This is the most common type of marinade, which occurs almost throughout Central Asia.
  2. Pike-shaped marinka. In size and outwardly, it almost does not differ from the previous species, however, it prefers animal food - fry, crustaceans, water beetles and so on. Occurs more often in the reservoirs of Turkmenistan.
  3. Balkhash marinka. From the name it is clear that it is found mainly in the slightly brackish waters of Balkhash, as well as in other reservoirs of Turkmenistan. Unlike the previous species, the Balkhash marinka is not so large, its dimensions rarely exceed 35-40 cm. It has rather large scales, but the mouth and mustache, on the contrary, are relatively small. Since its main food is vegetation, its meat is not as tasty, in comparison with predatory cousins.
  4. Ilyinskaya marinka. This species is the largest, some individuals can reach 1 meter in length. The weight of the largest specimens of Ilyinsky marinka can range from 11-12 kg. Its distinctive feature is a rather large, luridly disproportionate head. This fish is exceptionally predatory and lives, for example, in the Ili River, as well as in the Kapchagai Reservoir. Because of its former popularity, the Ilinka marinka is listed in the Red Book, the last catch of this fish was recorded in the late 70s of the last century. Today they try to breed it artificially.

Here is a marinka fish. Where is this freshwater babe and how can you catch her? Go ahead.

Where to catch a marinka

Since this fish often prefers a predatory way of feeding, then she lives where it is most convenient for her to hunt.

In winter, it can be found in the estuarine areas of the rivers - the depth there is sufficient, and the flow is not so fast. In fast mountain rivers at this time of year, the marinka aspires to move closer to the bottom, the deep currents are not so strong. She loves to hide in the quiet lakes of the lakes.

In summer, the marinka goes to the rapids. There, amid a heap of stones, in the lower reaches of rivers, she awaits her prey. Also, the predator likes to sit in rugs, between shrubs and stones - also a great place to hunt.

To catch this cunning predator, the fisherman will have to observe the strictest silence and very carefully throw up the gear.

Nutrition in natural conditions

Fish marinka in nature is completely omnivorous, but still prefers animal food. Its usual food - small sandballs and loaches, but still the main part of the diet are worms, caddis flies, insects and water bugs. Also, the marinka does not disdain and a "salad" of water grass, flakes of detritus and nintchika. With all the diversity in nutrition, marinka grows quite slowly - in the first year of life, the fish grows to only 6-7 cm.

Tackles for marinka fish

For catching this fish, most often use a fishing rod with a float, spinning with a coil and through rings, a muffin or a donk - it does not matter much.

But what exactly matters is the length of the rod. As the marinka fish is very timid, careful and perfectly sees the person standing on the shore, then you need to choose a rod, with a depth of at least 7 meters.

The line can be taken not too thick, about 0,4-0,5 mm, and on it hook a pair of hooks number 5, while leaving long, up to 30 cm, leashes. Also it is necessary to choose the right sinker, its weight depends on the depth of the reservoir and the speed of the current. For control, you can use a blue or red tape, wrapping it around the line. It will not scare the fish, but, on the contrary, it will interest - after all the marinka has got used to eat the butterflies which have fallen in water.

What to catch

As already mentioned, the marinka fish is quite omnivorous, so the bait for it will depend on the time of the year.

In the spring, a variety of beetles, worms and moths are perfect. If you want to bite better, look for bait on the shore of the pond where you are going to catch - the fish has become used to it and will deceive it easier. Find representatives of the local fauna can be under the rocks, in the depressions and in the coastal bushes and grass.

In summer the marinka best bites on various berries: cherry, grapes, mulberry. She does not disdain the test and the worm bugs, however.

By the autumn, with the advent of cold weather, predator fish require more and more meat. Therefore, she will tell you "thank you" for bait from red worms or maggots, as well as caddis flies.

From the experience of seasoned anglers, it can be said that crickets and small grasshoppers are the favorite food of marinka fish. Also, an excellent bait can be multi-colored hairy caterpillars, both living and artificial. Especially often a large marinka bites on caterpillars of green or red color. But, perhaps, a special delicacy for this fish is hydrocele - it's fat green larvae, which can be found in the coastal mud under bushes. However, if you do not feel like digging in the mud, you can buy silicone analogues in the store for fishermen, they are practically indistinguishable from real ones in strong mountain streams.
