In this case, the emery electric can stop, which will ultimately shorten its service life. In other words, the heavier and larger the tools, the more power a grinding machine should have. The third parameter, which also needs to be paid attention, is the emery planting. There are several standards for the diameter of the inner hole of the grinding wheel. It is best to choose a size of 32 mm. These discs are on sale most easily, but the standards of 16 mm, 12.7 mm and 20 mm are found on the market much less often.

Usually the emery is equipped with two disks, which rotate simultaneously. The first grain of the grinding circle is large or medium, and the second one has a fine grain. Each of them has its own purpose. The coarse-grained disk is designed to remove the main metal layer, and therefore it must be used first. A small disc is used for final sharpening, and it is applied at the end. Sometimes there are models in which one circle rotates very fast (about 3000 revolutions per minute), and the second - slowly (about 130 rpm). The latter is made of fine grain and serves just for a slow and smooth fine-tuning.
