Danila Kozlovsky is one of the leading actors of Russian cinema today. In Hollywood, he hit in 2013, just at the moment when he finished work in "Legend number 17". "The Academy of Vampires" was directed by Mark Waters in 2014 based on the novels of Rachel Mead.

The work of Rachel Mead abounded with Russian surnames interspersed with the names of the southern Slavs. However, the writer specifies the origin of the guard of Dmitry Belikov, indicating that he is Russian and originally from Siberia. The origin of other heroes is unknown.

Script for the film adaptation based on the book was written by Daniel Waters - the brother of Michael Waters. The director himself, Michael Waters, has been working in the cinema industry since 1997 and is mainly involved in the creation of teenage films: "Freaky Friday", "Mean Girls", etc. He produced the picture "The Academy of Vampires" Don Murphy, who also oversaw the first three parts of the franchise "Transformers."

The premiere of the film in Russia took place in February 2014. At the box office, Mark Waters collected only $ 15 million - half the amount invested in the shooting.

Short story

The main characters of the film are vampires Rosa and Lissa. In their childhood they were united by one grief: they lost their parents. Since then, the girls are inseparable. But since Rosa and Lissa are vampires, they have to study in a special vampire academy, which is in the heart of Montana. Girlfriends decide to escape from there, but their teacher and mentor-dumper Dmitry Belikov intercepts them.

When Vasilisa Dragomir, a representative of the oldest noble vampire family, returns to the academy, strange things begin to happen to her: someone pursues her, draws obscene inscriptions on her wall and throws dead animals. Rosa, who is the protector and guardian of Vasilisa, tries to protect her friend, but she does not always get it. And only help Dmitry Belikov allows you to cope with the persecutors - the hated strigoi (inferior vampires) - and return everything to its proper place.

"Academy of Vampires" - a film in which the main role went to the young actress Zoe Deutsch. At the time of filming, she was only twenty years old.

Zoe was born in the family of an actress and director. Her father basically shoots television series: "In the style of Jane", "Double", "The Law of Harry". Parents noticed early in their daughter artistic abilities, so they put her in a comprehensive school, where they taught acting skills in parallel.

The girl was really interested in cinema, so at the age of 16 she turned out to be a debutante: she got one of the main roles in the TV series Disney called "All type-top". Zoya did not stop at this: in 2011 she appeared at once in five television films - "Marine Police: Special Department", "Think Like a Culprit", "Major Captec", "Double" and "Hallelujah".

In 2013, Zoe appeared in the episodic role in the film "Beautiful Creatures." After filming in the Academy of Vampires, the girl was offered the lead role in the film Grandfather of Light Behavior, where she appeared in the frame with Robert de Niro.
