Cutting and combining music in popular audio editors

To trim an audio file and merge parts of music tracks, you need to use special applications. The article provides instructions on how to install tracks in the most popular programs.

Audacity

Deleting track parts

1. Open each of them in separate projects.

6. Insert the copied fragment and drag it to the desired location on the timeline.

This approach is preferred if the work is performed on a "weak" computer. Editing a large number of audio recordings in one project involves additional difficulties. The user will have to turn off the sound of tracks that should not sound during playback, and to select tracks with the same bit depth of audio data.

Saving a track to a file

1. Click on "File" in the top menu of the application.
2. Click on "Export audio".
3. Navigate to the directory where you want to save the file.

The principle of performing operations in mp3DirectCut is similar to Audacity. To delete parts of a track, you need:

1. Open it.
2. Select an unnecessary fragment in the timeline.
3. Press the Del key.

To connect music:

1. Open two copies of the program.
2. In the first, highlight the section of the track.
3. Copy it with the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + C".
4. Go to the second window.
5. Place the cursor at the point where you want to attach the copied fragment.
6. Press "Ctrl + V" to insert.
7. When the cutting and music connection is complete, click on the "File" menu, and in the options list, select "Save complete audio".
8. Specify the future file name.
9. Click on "Enter".
