There are many cities and regions in Russia with an ancient and glorious history. And those are by right the Ryazan Region, Spassk-Ryazan. This small town is located 55 kilometers from the administrative center of the region - Ryazan, next to the river Oka.

UNESCO recognized it as one of the 14 best objects of its kind. And in Russia it is the only place that meets all the requirements of this organization. The reserve has the richest flora and fauna, many animals and plants are listed in the Red Book. There are research and experimental works in it, typical natural complexes are preserved, crane and bison nurseries are functioning.

In this region there are also two lakes, which are protected by the state as a heritage of nature - Dubski and Kovyazhnoye.

In addition to natural monuments, in the town of Spassk-Ryazansky there is an interesting museum of G. K. Wagner. He presents a unique historical and archaeological collection of items found during excavations in Old Ryazan.
