Circus in Tyumen: representation, photos and reviews

The circus is loved by everyone, regardless of age. In this regard, the people of Tyumen are no exception. That is why the performances that take place in a beautiful building of modern architecture, located at Pervomayskaya, 15, almost always there are no empty seats.

History of foundation

The circus in Tyumen appeared so long ago that it's impossible to name exactly the year when it happened, today nobody can. Some local historians say that the first performance of the gymnasts in the tent camp in Tyumen was seen back in 1839. However, if we talk about a permanent circus, then the building was built for him in 1897. At the same time metropolitan artists arrived in the city, whose performances were held at full house. Three years later, the famous trainer A. Durov toured in Tyumen and also demonstrated an unprecedented miracle - a cinematograph.

Own circus troupe in the city appeared in 1910-th year. She performed in a specially constructed building, which in winter was heated with the help of two large ovens. Since then, and right up to the October Revolution, the campaign to present magicians, jugglers, gymnasts and trainers has become the most popular type of family entertainment for residents.

March 14, 1921 Tyumen circus was nationalized by the decision of the local gubernia executive committee. This status has been preserved to this day.

Old circus in the city of Tyumen

In 1932, the city built a capital building for the performances of the local troupe. The decision about this was taken after the expert commission reported on the danger of collapse of the roof of the old building. The new building hospitably plowed its doors in front of Tyument residents for almost 70 years. During these years in the circus on Pervomayskaya there were tours of the most famous bands from all over the USSR, and then the post-Soviet space. Unfortunately, in 2001, heavy snow caused damage to the roof of the building. In addition, it was clear that it has long been inconsistent with modern requirements, it is problematic to organize tours of artists, for rides which require the installation of a complex props, developed on the basis of the latest technology.

New circus

In 2002, the circus in Tyumen (TGT) received a new building. His project was developed under the guidance of the famous architect I. Litovka. The spacious structure in the modern style surpasses the majority of Russian circuses not only with its attractive and presentable appearance, but also in its technical equipment. In it to the service of spectators spacious halls, clean buffets, large wardrobes and vestibules with a beautiful design. Particular attention in the new circus is given to conditions for keeping animals. For them, there are service and domestic facilities, a special kitchen, as well as spacious stables and elephants. In addition, to ensure the comfort of furry, feathered and tailed artists of each species is maintained a special temperature regime.

The circus in Tyumen has a total area of 5425 square meters. Its total capacity is 1,600 people. The diameter of the arena is 13 meters. On its dome is a huge shiny metal ball, which, like the whole structure, shines at night. That is why photos of this building in the dark are often chosen to decorate tourist avenues dedicated to Tyumen.

On the square in front of the circus there are bronze statues of famous Soviet clowns: Yuri Nikulin, Pencil and Oleg Popov.
