Cheapest TVs: review, advice on choice and feedback

Surely everyone would like to save on buying household appliances. And the people still wander the myths that "the cheaper - the worse", "we are not so rich as to buy cheap things", etc. Let's try to figure out whether these rules are true when we choose the cheapest TVs, for which Nuances need to pay attention in the first place to get a really inexpensive and high-quality device.

Ideal images from such devices and for so little money should not wait. The first, than sin the cheapest TVs is a lack of LED backlight. Without it, the distribution of brightness and depth of color is uneven, which is visible to the unaided eye (especially on a juicy picture). Plasma models are too expensive for this article, so we will mainly focus on devices with liquid crystals.

What to look for before buying

Since many people use the TVs of the old model with conventional antennas, special attention should be paid to the presence and reproduction of an analog signal when selecting. In addition, in the review below, preference will be given to models with additional functionality such as access to the Internet or built-in media player.

So, let's see if there are standing models in the budget segment (the cheapest TVs), which demonstrate, if not excellent, then at least a good level for all the main indicators.

LG 32LW4500

If you are not a fan of wandering around the net, Twitter is rarely checked, Facebook is even rarer, YouTube videos are viewed once a month, and Skype is used on a personal computer, this model is quite suitable for you. The device does not have access to the Internet, but all other characteristics of the model at a high level.

Inexpensive TVs are not equipped with DLNA support and HbbTV technology, and this gadget is no exception. In it, everything is "sharpened" for watching videos (and this model has succeeded). Even though the TV is equipped with an Edge LED-backlight, the 2D picture is of excellent quality, and the LCD panel is almost invisible. Color rendering is close to ideal, provided that the mode "Expert 1" and the average color temperature are turned on.

Model specifications

Separately, it is worth noting the presence of IPS-matrix, which is deprived of many obsolete models, so the device is perfect for a big family or an amateur company to gather around the screen.

Blur or any artifacts during scaling of SD-materials are almost not visible, and this is such a resolution (1920x1080) a significant plus. Analog signal device holds quite well, so the model is perfect for watching TV and other broadcasts.

The only thing that users mark in their reviews as a weighty minus is that it's too small a TV, and even with a shallow black color. Therefore, ardent fans of "dark" genres (horrors, thrillers, noir) should look for a more suitable model. Otherwise, you will get gray tones on a seemingly black background.

The quality of the three-dimensional image of this device deserves all praise, especially since similar low-cost televisions can not boast of this. The level of parasitic artifacts is extremely low, and although some eyes with unaccustomed to ache a bit, the passive system that is used in this model is much healthier than the special shutter glasses.

One of the advantages of the model can be attributed to the extended bundle: now you do not need to buy anything to view the 3D video. It's co-ed, in this mode the resolution is knocked out of the frame (960x1080), but for 32-inch diagonal this is simply insignificant.

Is it worth buying

Judging by market research, only 25% of users (the territory of the Russian Federation) connect their TV to the Internet. All other categories of buyers from Smart TV are either not familiar at all, or do not use it, preferring for these purposes a personal computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

Looking at the statistics, it will be reasonable to note that this model is a logical choice, especially since it was released in far 2011 and now it's worth a penny. The price of the device is completely justified, and its balance with quality is sustained with interest.

Pros:

  • price;
  • good sound;
  • Presence of a media player;
  • In a set of four pairs of 3D glasses;
  • The presence of a good "passive" ZD.

Minuses:

  • design;
  • Small diagonal;
  • Black color (gray with dynamic backlighting);
  • There is no network connection;
  • One USB-output;
  • No headphone jack;
  • Too large remote control.

Panasonic TX-P46U20

TV models of this brand have something to respect. For many generations, the company was famous for its quality assembly and high quality pictures. Many exhibitions recognized the Panasonic devices as the best in their category. Even the CB's TVs of this brand sometimes could compete with competing color models.

The TX series showed a rather high level of the picture and pleased its consumer with a low price. The secret from which the sum is summed up is simple enough - this is the past generation of models that was released in 2010, and for modern electronics and three years - already quite a long time, not to mention six years.

As nobody cares about a five-year-old smartphone, it's unfairly forgotten about this device. Even on venerable Internet sites this model can be found with great difficulty, and even then under a long order.

Characteristics of the TX series

Selecting the diagonal of the TV is not the last point for many users, and it is this model that falls right into the point, thanks to its dimensions. Similar devices have standardized sizes for this type of matrix (42 inches), while the TX model offers a 46-inch diagonal, and ten centimeters for the human eye - this is quite a noticeable difference. Here you can add a full-fledged "Full Aid" resolution with 1920x1080 resolution.

Numerous reviews on this model are mostly positive, but the only thing that users say is a weighty minus is design, it's too far from 2010, with its frame, large stand and thickness of the case. And although this gadget belongs to the category of "cheapest TVs", its indisputable advantages, which are noted by almost all owners in their reviews - is the strength of the design (ideally, if there are young children) and longevity.

Pros:

  • price;
  • diagonal;
  • Screen on the plasma;
  • good sound;
  • Convenient remote control;
  • Excellent indicators of 2D images.

Minuses:

  • Power consumption (reaches 300 W / h);
  • Absence of USB communications and media player;
  • There is no 3D mode.

Toshiba 42VL963

Toshiba VL series can be called the golden mean of this review. The concepts of "simple" and "small TV" models are not at all like. The device turned out to be at least laconic, but with a design very nice for the eye. The frame around the perimeter is very thin, so it is almost invisible, and compact controls are conveniently located at the bottom.

But the main advantage of Toshiba is not so much the appearance, as the functionality of the device. Here you can find all kinds of DVB-tuners with full adaptation (T, C, S2), there is an excellent media player that can cope with almost any formats. In addition, it is possible to record everything that happens on the screen on a USB flash drive or an external hard drive.

Characteristics of the device

The option "Smart TV" is also available here, but judging from the feedback of users, the company is significantly behind its competitors in this respect: even the YouTube channel is not really integrated into the model option. The only thing that saves in this case is the proprietary Toshiba Places channel, where you can find quite a lot of smart applications.

The backlighting is made using Edge LED technology, but it performs very well even its functions: brightness throughout the screen is distributed very competently and it is almost impossible to see any sharp jumps to the unaided eye. The picture looks detailed and clean, and dynamic processing deserves all praise.

There is a passive 3D, and high quality, which makes it possible to spend much longer time behind the screen, than in competing analogues. Separately, it is worth noting the presence of several pairs of 3D-glasses of proprietary production, so there is no need to buy something to view 3D.

To buy or not

On the quality of the picture, the model is in no way inferior to the aforementioned LG device, even a stereoscopic system is built on the same principle and differs little from Toshiba. But as a consumer argument, we can note the availability of Internet capabilities, which LG does not.

One of the weaknesses of the VL series is the interface. There is an impression that it was designed, developed and turned into a life completely different people, and speaking in different languages. In the end, we get somewhere overly simplistic, and sometimes too pretentious and complex menu. At the same time, many important points, which, according to the forecasts of the logic, should be near, for some reason scattered around the screen. In the internal settings, the same confusion from the windows and strokes, which you will not be able to understand at first.

Pros:

  • Modern (for the old model) and cute design;
  • LCD panel without glare;
  • Good quality 2D images;
  • A wonderful reception of the air channels;
  • Availability of adapted tuners;
  • Quality of "passive" 3D;
  • In a set of four pairs of branded 3D glasses;
  • A good media player;

Minuses:

  • An intricate menu, but for those who are used to the "Phillips" and "Samsung", then in general a dark forest;
  • Ergonomics of the remote and the position of the keys leaves much to be desired;
  • There is no built-in "Wai-Fay";
  • Black colors look gray.
