Catching pikes for trolls is most effective in autumn
It is believed that pike fishing for spoon-bait is best performed in autumn, in late September or early October, when this predator goes to the wintering site. With the onset of severe colds, this tackle no longer justifies itself.
For fishing in a closed pond, the best results are shown by fishing for pike from a shallow depth. As a rule, it is in this place that the predator hiding in an ambush usually spies on its victims. Therefore, it is better to fish from the boat. Successful are casting along the borders of reeds or cane, in the direction of underwater brovos.
On rivers, pike fishing is usually carried out in pits in the summer for trolling. It is noticed that the number of grips increases noticeably if, after casting, the tackle is lowered to the bottom, and then, having penetrated it, continue to slowly guide the ledges.
The choice of lures for the pike is unlimited. Any of them can attract the attention of this predator, but the important thing is in what conditions is cast. It is necessary to know that in the side and oncoming winds the sinker will create unnecessary inconveniences: the bait will lag behind in flight or cling to the main line. However, in transparent water, when there are few elements between it and the main line, the predator will suffice the bait very gambly and boldly.
Catching pikes with hesitant spoon-baits can be carried out at all without a sinker. And this is the advantage of such fishing.
Optimal sizes of the oscillating type of spoon-baits are: length - up to fifty, width - up to twenty millimeters with a tee of the tenth or eleventh size. At the same time, plant specimens, according to avid anglers, have drawbacks: they are either very light, or large.
Among fans of "quiet hunting" there is no unanimous opinion about the technique of flapping on a predator. Some believe that this fish does not like uneven wiring bait. Others are sure that catching a pike for a spoon-bait will be very effective when the bait moves intermittently, as if rushing along the bottom, sometimes touching it.
In summer, this predator is sleepy and lethargic. It goes under the water, where it "rests" next to the cool underground currents. Early in the fall or in the spring, the predator starts a strong zhor, so she swallows any bait. Because of this, catching a pike for a spoon-bait with such activity does not require special tricks, unlike the summer season. And in the hot season the bait is selected not only in shape, color or size, but also based on a certain pond and even the place of fishing.
Fishing for pike is most successful in places where fish are abundant, so she is always hungry, which means she is extremely aggressive. Often fishers in such water bodies catch individuals with severed gear in the mouth. Because of the large selection of spoon-bait for pike you need to purchase only quality offers, and in some cases, adjust it yourself.
