TravelsTips for tourists

Austria-Hungary is interesting in any weather

Austria-Hungary existed in the second half of the 19th century. It arose in 1867 as a result of political agreements of the ruling aristocracy. It existed only until 1918, disintegrating as a result of the First World War. But for these half a century, Austria-Hungary firmly linked the given countries. And until now they are perceived as part of the once-whole empire.

This influence turned out to be so strong that now travel companies often offer trips that unite these states. What can you see if you decide to go to Austria-Hungary?

You are waiting for the architectural grandeur of the former empire. Of course, the leading place here is Vienna - the capital of Austria. Numerous palaces and castles of the crowned family of the Habsburgs, beautifully arranged parks - this is what the tourists show. In addition to the architectural, there is also a cultural implication - Austria-Hungary (more precisely, the Austrian Empire) glorified the Vienna opera to the whole world , and Vienna itself, as is known, is the capital of waltzes. Now every self-respecting tourist considers it necessary to glance at the Vienna opera at least one eye, or even to visit the famous balls.

Budapest, of course, has a touch of former provinciality, but here there are beautiful historical buildings and ancient legends about why and how they were built. Both Vienna and Budapest are ready to receive guests at any time of the year, and save their entertainment for each season. Of course, in bright sunny weather, it's best to do photoshoots. But in the rain (and not only), tourists will appreciate the local pinakothek - art galleries.

Austria-Hungary prepared other all-weather entertainments for its guests. It is worth to visit the local restaurants, and you will leave with a lot of impressions. For example, in Hungary you will definitely be struck by local "cutlets" - chops the size of a huge plate, so that the whole garnish is placed exclusively on top of the meat. And Viennese coffee shops and pastry shops are a whole legend, and if you have not tried the real cake "Sacher", then some may have doubts about whether you were in Vienna at all.

However, tours to Austria have a much wider program than just visiting the capital. In particular, tourists here skiing, swimming in the cleanest mountain lakes, can go sightseeing in Salzburg or small alpine cities that have a completely open view. In other words, whatever the time of the year and the weather in the yard, this country will find what to do and entertain tourists of all ages.

Tours in Hungary can not boast of the same picturesque views - there are no mountains, and there are not many lakes. Only Balaton can offer its resorts to tourists. But in this relatively small country there are just a few wine regions that produce real legends in the world of this intoxicating drink. What only stands one Tokaj - in order to understand it, it is best to visit the town of the same name. And you can recommend Eger, where there are thermal springs. In general, go, do not be bored!
