Photo, application and diagram of a maple leaf crochet

Maple leaves with carved edges have long become a kind of autumn symbol. A few weeks after the end of the summer, they can be seen almost everywhere: in stores, in social networks, in magazines and, of course, on the sidewalks and streets of their city.

Modern knitters, like real artists, reflect in their works the surrounding reality and their view of reality. They daily develop a lot of new schemes for creating two-dimensional copies of the most diverse gifts of nature. Maple leaves are no exception.

Knitting asymmetrical motifs

There are many schemes that depict the algorithm for creating a maple leaf crochet. This is not surprising, because each master strives to achieve uniqueness and originality in his own way. Often the scheme of the maple leaf crochet is based on a circular motif, and the carved edges are depicted in the form of asymmetric branches. By adjusting the number of rows, the master can influence the size of the motif. The map of the maple leaf crochet can be not only a strict instruction, but also a push to develop a new design. Often the most successful are those products that were created on the basis of borrowed, but modified and improved developments.

Crochet: maple leaf - stand under the hot

The diagram shown below has become quite popular over the past few years. However, despite its wide distribution, it is still considered one of the most successful.

This diagram of the maple leaf crochet begins with the knitting of eight air loops (VP), which are closed in a ring. Next you need to perform 26 columns with a crochet (CCH), they form the first row.

2 Р: 3 ВП, * 3 ВП, 1 ССН *, 3 ВП.

3 Р: 3 VP, in each arch of the previous row, a "bush" (2 SSN, 3VP, 2SSN) should be tied.

In the next row, each "bush" increases due to the addition of columns with a crochet. The number of EPs remains the same. The width of the "bushes" is increased based on the desire of the master and the thickness of the yarn. In this case, the designer settled on four CLOs.

Here, the circular rows end and partial knitting begins.

Making of a carved sheet

The above diagram of the maple leaf crochet perfectly illustrates the principle of the formation of this asymmetric motif. After completing the five circular rows, the wizard should stop tying the last two "bush". That is, after the seventh is ready, you need to make 3 VP, turn the canvas and knit in the opposite direction. In both the 6th and 7th rows, the CER continues to add.

8-10 R: only six "bushes" are knit.

10-14 P: work with five elements.

15-18 R: stop knitting the two extreme "bush", increasing only three central ones.

19-22 P: Complete the knitting of the maple leaf, performing the largest element.

The resulting canvas can be used as a stand-alone product, for example, as a stand for hot cups. Also maple leaves of different shades and sizes are often used to compose Irish lace.

Maple leaf of three elements

To get a decorative motif resembling a maple leaf, you can use the following scheme.

In its center there is also a circle of SSN (1 and 2 rows), but the carved elements are completely different. In the second row (in parallel with the implementation of CLOs), the designer proposes to unbind the chains from the EP in three places. The third and fourth rows are constructed on the binding of these chains.

The relief was achieved due to several methods:

  1. On the tops of chains the bars are added.
  2. Between the chains (in the valleys) the bars shrink.
  3. During the execution of the last (fourth) series, the craftsman must tie a pico out of the three EPs, as well as the leaves' stalk.

The finished motif can be used as an interior decor or part of an applique. Improving the description of the maple leaf, you can make tracery motifs.
