Landscaping the House With the Help of Ampel Plants. Plastic Flowerpots And Flower Vases.

Ampelles are called houseplants growing in suspended flowerpots, pots, pots. "Ampel" in German means "hanging flower vase". Thus, almost any indoor flowers are grown, but indoor and garden plants with flowing or curly shoots look most beautiful in hanging flower pots.

In suspended plastic pots, even succulents are planted. As ampelnye plants you can grow and indoor flowers, and garden, designed for growing outdoors. In this case, the flower vases are exposed or hung out in the garden area, not forgetting the habitat conditions that these or those ampelian plants need, creating a shadow for them or, on the contrary, sunlit place, protecting them from the wind and rearranging them into a quiet secluded place (for example, Weather conditions).

In the pots and pendant pots, various varieties of petunias are cultivated, especially the surfium - a species of petunia with long stems. Especially popular is the caliber (petunia hybrid), not so long ago bred by breeders. Outwardly, it looks very much like a relative, but with all its leaves are more miniature, and the stems are much thicker. The stalks of the calabrachium branch and create long shoots, hanging from the pot for a half or two meters. Small caliber, about three centimeters in diameter, are strikingly similar to petunia. At the moment, varieties with pink, purple, white, red flowers are known. The flowering of Calabrachia is just a holiday: during the flowering period, the stems are decorated with many small miniature "bells". Calabrachia reproduces by cuttings. Calabrachia loves light and warmth most of all, reacts badly to wind and drafts.

Fortunia is another of the many hybrids derived from petunia. In flowerbeds, mainly its varieties are grown as ground cover plants, in suspended plastic vases - as ampel. The abundant branching shoots of Fortunia grow to a length of 100 cm. Its flowers are much larger than petunia: the diameter of the inflorescences reaches 12 centimeters. Their color range is amazing: from cold-violet to pale pink. Fortunia is a rather unpretentious plant, it can withstand the wind, the cold, and the heat. The method of propagation of fortunia is vegetative.

In a residential building, like ampelas, you can grow beautifully blossoming Decembrists, individual varieties of Begonias, Campanul, Thorson's Clerodendrum. Of ornamental plants suitable, for example, Tradescantia, dwarf fig trees, philodendrons, chlorophytums, ivy, asparagus. Ampelnye plants, as an option can be hung in the openings of windows or doors, apply them for designer zoning of premises. Very beautiful ampel hoya, which blooms, after 20 months. In the presence of appropriate conditions: light, temperature (not below + 16), regular watering with warm water, without drafts - hoya will constantly bloom for several months, and in some cases year-round. Remember, this plant is poisonous: the juice causes allergies and dermatitis, and the smell of its flowers is a migraine. Due to this hoyu should not be placed in children's rooms and bedrooms.

Especially beautiful ampel flowers in plastic pots, they change the appearance of the garden plot, and with all that they occupy very little space. And finally, I want to emphasize that not all plants with long, curly stems are suitable for growing as ampel plants.
