Interactive lesson. The application of new technogy in education

Getting decent and quality education is an important life task for many people. Adults not only seek to gain new knowledge and skills, but also try to provide their children with quality education in schools and other educational institutions. Modern interactive educational technologies make it possible to achieve this goal faster and more efficiently.

Features of modern education

The need for the use of new technologies in education is determined by the following peculiarities of our educational system:

  • Early start of children's education;
  • The need to absorb a large amount of information in a short time;
  • Strict requirements to the level of knowledge of students.

For the goal to be achieved, the teacher needs to interest the students during the lesson, making the learning process interesting. It is for this purpose that interactive technologies and modern means of communication are widely used in educational institutions.

Concept and application

Interactive learning technologies are a process of interaction between the student and the teacher, which takes the form of educational games and active dialogue. In the course of such a lesson, all participants in the process are equal, and the form of holding presupposes the active participation of each student.

The interactive lesson in the modern school develops in children such qualities as the ability to communicate and behave adequately in conflict situations, activity in the learning process, the development of a creative approach to obtaining knowledge, the ability to self-education. To conduct the lesson, the teacher can use a variety of forms, such as role plays, discussions in large and small groups, research projects, individual work of the teacher with students.

Interactive technologies allow creating comfortable conditions for teaching all pupils, regardless of their innate abilities. They enable everyone to participate actively in the class and feel their success in learning the subject.

How are they conducted?

Modern pedagogy has various methods of conducting interactive lessons. The method of constructive dialogue can be called the main one. In the course of the lesson, students answer the question posed, put forward and justify their own versions, they can criticize and support each other's versions. This method trains the skill of proper discussion. Not only strong but weak students actively participate in the discussion.

Another method that makes an interactive lesson interesting and cognitive is group learning. Using it, you can organize the work of students in pairs or in groups. For students of younger age work in pairs is better, as they are little acquainted with each other and because of age they are not ready to cooperate in a large team. A pair work will contribute to the formation of skills of constructive interaction between students.

For third-grade students and older children, group interaction in the lesson will be useful. A group of students receives a joint task, in the process of solving which they learn to cooperate with each other, exchange knowledge, put forward ideas for solving the task.

Interactive teaching in school with the help of the game is one of the productive methods of modern education. As psychologists say, learning in the process of playing activity is much more effective than standard methods. It promotes the rapid assimilation of material and the development of socialization skills in children. When implementing this method, students are faced with a task that they actively solve in a game form. Also, the element of competition among pupils is organically entered into the educational activity.

Principles of organization

By organizing interactive lessons, the teacher should adhere to the following basic principles:

  • You need to psychologically adjust your wards to actively participate in the class: for this you can conduct warm-ups, use a variety of methods of encouragement;
  • It is necessary to encourage students to independently seek a solution to the task;
  • It is essential to create a comfortable environment for open, equitable interaction between the participants in the training;
  • The teacher should establish rules for interaction between students during the interactive lesson;
  • Students should be provided with the necessary sources of information to solve the task.

An interactive lesson, organized in accordance with the above principles, will not only be a useful, but also memorable event for students.

Practical organization

In practice, interactive lessons consist of several stages. The first stage of such a lesson is the introduction, during which students will learn what task they need to solve and what goals to achieve. Also, the teacher should explain the rules and working conditions in the lesson to participants.

During the main part of the interactive lesson, they clarify the participants' positions, distribute them to couples or groups and organize interaction between groups of students. At this stage, the positions and opinions of the participants are discussed, the students receive new information from the teacher, rethink and change their positions on the issue under discussion.

The final stage of the lesson is reflection. Students discuss everything that happened in the class, the feelings they experienced, and their impressions.

This lesson can take place in such forms as:

  • Educational discussion - groups of students discuss among themselves topics proposed by the teacher;
  • Business and role-playing games;
  • Case-study - analysis of practical situations
  • Creative competitions;
  • Interactive presentations and other forms of lessons.

The use of interactive methods is especially important in humanitarian disciplines. For example, an interactive lesson in English will be much more productive than usual, because not only strong but weak pupils with a certain language barrier will participate and talk in the process. With the help of this method it is possible to remove the language barrier from the student and instill an interest in learning English. And an interactive lesson on history or literature can cause children to have an interest in the subject and problems discussed in the lesson. Even lagging students will be able to get new knowledge of the subject in the process of discussions and discussions with classmates.

The use of interactive technologies in education makes it possible to substantially increase the assimilation of material, and also develops communication skills. The reason for this is the free and equal communication of all participants in the lesson, the active involvement of students in the process of discussion and solving the tasks.
