How to cut the tree: instructions, recommendations. Fine for the felled tree.

Everyone who lived in rural areas or has a dacha outside the city, perfectly aware of all the laboriousness of the work that must be done on a daily basis. Each sawn wood - this many thousands of calories spent, and often nerves - how to know where it will fall? Fortunately, there are many effective recommendations that help to simplify and secure this process.

First we'll uncover our chainsaw (and to work wisely with its help). Check the fuel level, make sure the tool is fully operational, if necessary, tighten or re-sharpen the chain. Prepare all the additional tools that you might need during your work. But ... "How much does it cost" to cut down the tree if you decided to do it on your own without permission from the controlling bodies?

What you need to remember

If you are tired to death of a tree in the street outside the fence, and you want to get rid of it, start by talking to local authorities. The point here is in legal conflicts. It happens that the territory, which begins already literally behind the fence of the dacha, belongs to the local forestry department, and the fine for the felled tree, dropped without a permit, to five thousand rubles. The liability of legal entities may exceed 200 thousand rubles.

Safety rules when working with electric saws

Is it possible to cut trees using an electric tool? Far not everyone likes to work with gasoline saws, which make a lot of noise and chadyat. Electric saws when felling trees - no worse than their "liquid fuel" brethren, but when working with them at this time it is extremely important to observe at least the basic safety rules!

Note that this tool is very fond of oil. Often beat out sawdust from under the protective cover when working. This ensures an uninterrupted supply of lubricant to the chain. If there is a need to file a large number of dense and knotty trees, do not rely on the oil pump in the saw itself: put a bucket of oil near the workplace and from time to time simply dip a tire into it. Naturally, as with this method, do not forget to sometimes remove sawdust.

Note that for electric saws only oil with a sufficient degree of density can be used. The spindle and transformer oils are not suitable for this purpose at all! Do you think that these are trifles? Unfortunately no. Suppose you decided to cut the tree: where to go, if the broken chain "grabs" a decent piece from your leg? So do not feel sorry for the lubricant!

Other rules

The second. Working with a bad chain is fraught not only with injuries, but also with the fact that the saw will quickly "waste" the already poor engine resource of the engine. Use only (!) Normal chains, do not buy "branded" products in the markets, being led at their low cost. Do not forget to sharpen the chain: a normal file is cheaper than an asterisk, "flying" from work "in tightness". In addition, a stupid chain is the correct and right way to wear out the engine, which alone is virtually impossible to get.

Do not work with low voltage on the mains! In conditions of increased voltage, protection will work, but if the value of the voltage decreases, the saw will work, catastrophically overheating. By the way, electric saws are devices that are not designed for long-term use. After a few minutes of work, always pause, allowing the saw to cool.

What you need to do before you start?

That the sawn wood does not fall with a crash directly on the head of the unlucky logger, before starting work, you need to do / check the following:

  • Is it worth your future "sacrifice" directly, or is the tree bent into a bagel.
  • Immediately determine the direction in which you are going to bring it down.
  • All working space in this direction should be carefully cleaned, removing knots, branches, stones and other debris.
  • It is necessary to prepare and the tree itself, completely removing all the knots and massive bumps of bark located below the level of your shoulder.

Where will the top fall?

If you have already decided on the side where you will dump the tree, but you are not sure of your eye and do not want it to fall directly on the house of your loved one, it is advisable to check the place where the top will crash. It is not difficult to do this.

First take the ax in the outstretched hand and stand next to the tree. Go to the side where the "baobab" was going to fall, while its silhouette does not equal visually in size with an ax. Fix this moment and look at your feet - you are just standing in the very place where the felled tree falls (more precisely, its top). If you do not get caught by a neighbor's fence or house, everything is all right, and you can start working. In the event that something like a power line is inevitably encountered in the path of the falling tree, you should immediately change the direction of the tree stalling.

How to work properly with a saw?

Just note that the technique of felling large and small trees is different, and not notice it is difficult. The simplest, as it is easy to guess, is the case with "small fry". So we'll start with it. So, what do you need to do to see at your feet a sawn wood?

First, it is necessary to make a neat cut in the direction in which the barrel is tilted (at least a slight inclination is almost always). If the tree stands perfectly straight, then the incision is made in the direction where you plan to dump it. Do not be zealous! It is necessary to make a sawdust on 50% of a diameter of a trunk, instead of aspiring to sweep a tree at once with one "easy movement". If you work with an electric saw, be sure to let the tool cool down from time to time.

Completion of work

Gently trim the barrel on the other side, "grabbing" the moment until it starts to fall. After that, quickly move away from the place where the top of the tree cut by you should fall. If the tree is very small, the easiest way is to cut it first at the level of your shoulder, and then carefully trim the wood in parts. All, in general.

Here's how to cut a tree with a chainsaw or an electric tool. But this is still half the case, since you still have to prepare a large pile of firewood and cut branches! How it's done?

How correctly to cut already fallen tree trunk?

Cutting should start from the farthest branches. Small branches can be trimmed with an ax, or cut off with a saw without any cuts. But large pieces are first filed from above, and then cut from below. It is necessary to do this so that the sawed wood does not tighten the tire of your saw. The same applies to the largest knots.

I think it will be superfluous to remind you - when working, try to lay a chunk under the sawed trunk of the tree so that the chain of the tool does not touch when the ground is working. Otherwise, it will very quickly become dull, and in especially severe cases it may even break, hitting and maiming the unlucky logger. So we sorted out the "trifle".

And now let's talk about "mastodons": how to cut down a tree? The technology of the collapse of large trunks is characterized by some nuances that are of great importance. Carefully observe the sequence of work described by us, since the consequences of their failure to perform can be severe.

We bring down big trees

Remember that we talked about the importance of choosing stalling direction? If you need to cut down a tree of "monumental" dimensions, then these rules become even more relevant. In the case when you head on, or on the roof of your house a small branch will fall, then there is nothing wrong with that. But in the case when a huge and old poplar collapses on these same surfaces, nothing good will definitely happen.

First you need to make the top cut, directing the saw bar at an angle of 60 degrees to the surface of the trunk. Naturally, you need to do this from the side on which you want to drop the tree. Unlike the previous case, the barrel must be cut no more than 25-30% of its diameter. Once you make the top cut, start cutting under it. In doing so, you must saw out a triangular piece of wood. By the way, this is how beavers work in the construction of their dams.

After that, go to the opposite side of the tree and make another horizontal cut just opposite the first one. It is extremely important to do so that it does not reach the first approximately 10% of the total thickness of the trunk. Have you finished?

And now you put a wedge (or a special expander for the swath) into the resulting cut. Knocking on it with a sledgehammer or ax ax, we "finish" the tree, initiating the beginning of its fall. There is also a simpler felling method, which is used by experienced loggers: the tree is sawed through (it needs a long tire and a powerful saw), and then the tool starts to move in the direction to which the barrel should be dumped. It turns out nedopil. A wedge is inserted into it exactly the same way, and the operation that we described above is repeated.

Features of sawing a trunk and branches

For large trees it is desirable to begin cutting off the bottom. As in the previous case, the top notch is first made, and then everything else is "cut off" from below. If the branch is very large, then it should not be sawed directly at the base, but a little further away. The knot is then removed separately. The correct sawing of the barrel is carried out as follows:

  • From above it is drunk by 50% of the diameter of the tree.
  • Important! Without taking out the tire of the saw, insert the wedge there, and then pull out the saw! Otherwise, the wood will tighten everything.
  • After this, you can finish the finish, trying not to touch the ground.

In case you decided to cut the tree on your site, but the saw bar is tightly stuck in it, do not yank it out! It is necessary to turn off the engine and, gently rocking the barrel in different directions, gradually pull the tire out of the trap in which it was. So, let's sum up.

Rules for the safe felling of trees

  • If you work with a chainsaw, smoking during the sawing is absolutely unacceptable. Wood and gasoline - a great combination! With a particularly "successful" scenario, you will have absolutely nothing to cut, as everything will just burn ...
  • Pregnant women, children and pets in the area where you are going to fell trees, should in no case be.
  • When working, use gloves and hold the tool firmly. Drop it - and you can stay not only without a saw, but without a foot.
  • Do not saw the tree with the edge of the saw vertically, the "recoil effect" can work and the tool will throw directly at you.
  • Wear work gloves and clothes, protect your face from splinters and dust. To make it easier to work, wear special soundproof headphones, otherwise the whistle of the chainsaw will be remembered for a long time.
  • At the crash, use the trunk of the tree as a shield, do not go unnecessarily to the place where the trunk falls, if you have already made the cut.
  • If you work with an electric saw, then please select the extension cables for "acid" bright colors. Such wires are very clearly visible, and therefore the risk of accidentally cutting them is minimal.

Here's how to cut down the tree: this work is quite heavy, but, when carrying out basic safety requirements, it is not dangerous. Cases of injuries and injuries happen, but as a rule, inexperienced loggers are to blame for this.
