Fish of the soap: description, habitat, fishing

The White-eyed, or, as it is nicknamed by the people, the fish of the mop is relatively small, so it does not have a particular commercial value. But since it is difficult to catch the bait, fishermen have a sporting interest in it.

Description of appearance

Sopa is considered to be a family of carp, a subspecies of bream. Externally, it really looks like a bream, but the white-eyed body is more elongated. Its main color is silver, only on the back you can see a little darkish blue tint. But as soon as the nozzle hits the air, its color changes rapidly. Her eyes are relatively large. Iris is light silvery. Anal fin oblong, extending from pectoral fins to caudal fin. On the back they are shorter. On the caudal fin you can see the cutout. For all these signs, the sopa is a fish (the photo is suggested below), which differs from the bream.

The white-eyed man has a body compressed on each side. It can grow to 46 cm, while its weight reaches 1.5 kg. But for the SOP this is a rare phenomenon, so often there are individuals up to 22 cm and weighing up to 200 grams.

Some believe that bel, sopa, bluefish is one and the same breed. Immediately it is worth saying that the laundry is called peaceful fish weighing up to half a kilo (this includes carp). But the fish is blue and the sopa are different species, although they look similar. The white-eyed has a larger scales, larger eyes and lower mouth.

Habitat

White-eyed are river and lake fish, which try to stay away from the coast near the bottom. They also choose flowing waters.

In the basins of the rivers of the Caspian and Black Seas, there is a fish of the mop. Where is this representative still? The white-eyed animals live in the basins of the Kuban, Vyatka, Dniester, Dnieper, Don, Bug, Ural and partly the Danube. It is very rare in the Kama River and its tributaries. In the Lower Volga it is semi-passable, and earlier it was connected to the upper reaches of the river. The South Caspian Sopa lives in the Middle and Southern Caspian, but only off the coast. Beloglazka is a river fish, so it does not go deep into the sea.

What feeds on

The main diet is animal food. It can be different organisms living in water. The fish of the mop likes to eat crustaceans-amphipods, mollusks, water donkeys. But in her diet can be algae. Molodye white-eyed eats zooplankton. With age, their menu is replenished with larvae of mosquitoes and other insects. As the fish keeps the bottom, its food is mostly bottom, grabbing it, it often swallows sand with silt.

Life and habits of fish

Sopa prefers to stay in small flocks. This is a very cautious kind and tries to be as deep as possible (more than three meters). Sopa is a fish (the photo is suggested below), which rises above this level very rarely. In the autumn period they go for wintering downstream and take deep depressions. In early spring they return, climbing up the rivers where their spawning will take place. If the fish has a lack of oxygen, it tries to settle near the springs. Beloglazka lives on average for 15 years.

Reproduction of the white-eyed

At the age of five years, the sopa becomes sexually mature, while its size reaches 18-22 centimeters. During this period, the fish will weigh about 100-200 grams. But males become sexually mature before females, for about a year. Spawning in fish begins at a water temperature of 11-12 degrees. Usually this period falls on the middle and end of April. Spawning is one-time in the floodplain. The fish of the mound swallows eggs with a diameter of 1.7 mm, this is larger than that of the bream. Usually it is swept out on a stony bottom on the current. The number of eggs always depends on the age of the female and its size. But this range is very wide. For example, fish from the Dnieper with a mass of 150 grams and a body length of 20 cm could sweep from 8,000 to 12,000 eggs. In white eyes from the same reservoir weighing up to 500 grams and a body length of up to 27 cm, fertility was from 18500 to 21000. If you count on average, for each gram of the body this fish brings about 30-80 eggs. After the larvae appear from the eggs, they remain at the bottom for a while. But unlike their immediate relatives, they do not develop attachment organs.

The juveniles of this species grow fast enough. Each year the fish grows by another five centimeters. But when the white-eyed woman reaches sexual maturity (about five years), the rate of their growth slows down.

White-eyed catching

A fish of a mop can peck both in summer and in winter. But it is worth noting that it is not specifically caught, as well as synza. During the catching of other fish, they come across accidentally. Therefore, for the white-eyed lure the bait is very rarely used. Usually she comes to bait for bream. For example, at the beginning of the mess comes a different trifle. Then it is replaced by a baster and a sopa. A little later, there is a large bream or carp, which drive away their brethren. In winter, vegetative components are used for bait, which contain elements of animal origin.

The entire fishing period for nozzles changes. For spring fishing, use animal bait. Usually it is a large bloodworm, which is planted in several pieces (up to five). In the summer, worms and vegetable baits (dough, porridge) are in use. But in this period, it's better to have a knife. With the onset of autumn, the fish again begins to choose meat food, so it is better to switch to bloodworms. In winter, the sop still chooses bloodworms. At the same time, she reacts poorly to maggots.

Hooks must be chosen with prominent beards. It is desirable to plant the bloodworm with a ringlet. Hooks should be no more than 3-4. It is worth considering that the white-eyed woman skillfully removes the bloodworm from the hook. For bait are suitable such mormyshki: "pellet", "doll", "cone". They need to be selected with the following combinations of colors: brown and green, white and black, lemon and orange, lead.
