Electric valves have a high price, but you can find cheaper solutions. The most accessible here is the valve from a failed washing machine. His device is as follows:

  • Plastic housing;
  • A rubber membrane;
  • Electromagnet with a core;
  • spring;
  • Screen filter;
  • Gasket.

The mechanism has a high sensitivity to dirt and can easily fail. It is protected by a strainer, but for the garden system, it is advisable to put another one at the valve inlet, since your own will be quickly clogged.
